THE REVIEW
Women's Prison Massacre is the first opportunity of mine to preview EI Independent Cinema's "Retro Shock-O- Rama" line, and I can already assume that this ia probably one of the weakest titles in that line. This all may rest on the fact that this was originally presented in a non-rated cut, the one that I saw was rated R, which might've took a little or a lot of this film's magic away.

I will say this that the film's atmosphere is quite good, it almost looks rather dirty and creepy. This film involves a group of male inmates, that attack and take over a women's Prison. That in itself is a wonderful plot, and in this case it could've been a lot more abundant, than it was.

The acting was very sub-par to say the least, even though this movie is dubbed over in english, I have saw better acting in a few foreign film's prior to viewing this

Over all it was an ok film, I believed all the hype and acclaim, i'm not ashamed to admit that, honestly I can't understand, just why it got so much acclaim....

Sorry that this review is so short, but this film really has nothing more to write about, that I can think of.

GORE METER
4/10 Not THAT gory, at all.... that makes me wonder, just why this film has "Massacre" in the title

MUSICAL SCORE
2/10 The soundtrack, may be the single most worst thing about this film, it sounded like really corny, Casio keyboard-esque music. It was also quite repetitve.

OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE FILM
Since our Motto here at Terror Hook.... that's what I must be. I did not like this film very much. Maybe some of you will like it, I just didn't. Someone claimed that Women's Prison Massacre "make's Scarface look like a Sunday-School Picnic" at least sunday school would be more enjoyable!
