THE REVIEW
This was actually my second time watching this movie. In the first viewing I was more intrigued by the movie, well as in the second viewing I found it less exciting. This film deals with a subject many do believe in, and you will also find others who do not. In my case I am really on the edge of the fence here. I feel that the movie over dramatized E.V.P., to make it more exciting than it really is. That seemed to kind of hold the movie back a little bit, as you know while watching that some of this stuff is likely to never happen to you. This film would've benefited more, I think if it was a little bit more up beat and had a faster pace, as this movie tends to drag itself, this fact is most prominent in the beginning of the film. The character development is rather thin, we have Characters who just show up out of practically nowhere and this do not include much character build up to introduce themselves to us, the viewer. Micheal Keaton's Character visits an E.V.P. expert once or twice and just out of the blue Keaton's Character becomes and expert in the field as well? C'mon now...that is highly unlikely to happen. People take years in learning to become professionals at what they do, so this is hard to swallow for me. Overall the supporting cast, is maybe right at average, borderline.... They all seemed to lack the authenticity that was needed to bring their respective characters to life on screen. As for Keaton this was definately not his best performance to date, he did even better in Batman and that's saying a whole lot about his performance here. For entertainment purposes this is an average movie, as for as true event wise.... it is a little to exaggerated for belief.

GORE METER
0/10 No gore whatsoever here, this movie relied on high pitched audio scares that would only make you jump slightly maybe a few times. .

MUSICAL SCORE
0/10 Nothing really all that great nor memorable, just some instrumentals.

SPECIAL FEATURES RATING
6/10 The special feature provide incredible insight into the world of E.V.P. it is really interesting. The "Hearing is believing part could've shown more solid proof to me it just was not enough. We also get the traditional deleted scenes and feature commentary

OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE FILM
I see this film as maybe a one time view type of thing in my case I loved it more so the first time opposed to the second. If you are interested in E.V.P. I would recommend it.... But if you are expecting a breakthrough film, you might be let down with this one.
