PLOT
Mike loves porn. Unfortunately he is blinded by his addiction to XXX entertainment as it slowly eats away at every aspect of his life. One day a mysterious DVD arrives in the mail and Mike quickly begins to realize there is a much darker side to the world of adult entertainment. Bondage, Murder, Self-Mutilation, Cannibalism, Necrophilia - these are just the icing on the cake of this journey into Hell.

THE REVIEW
Folks, hide the kids! This movie is not for the young, and probably the same can be said about this review. To me this film was incredible, often these days horror is mixed with erotica but not to this level. This film mixes the elements of sex, horror, cannibalism and sadomasochism like it has NEVER been done before. The sex is not simulative at all we get blow jobs as well as real penetration. To me the sex is done in a artistic manner, its simply fantastic.

The story revolves around the central character named Mike, he has an un controlled addiction to pornography. When he reads in a magazine about this bizarre DVD that has some of the most erotic scenes, he doesn't hesitate to order it. When it arrives, all looks fine until he opens the dvd's case to find a lone transparent dvd...not being suspicious he pops it into his DVD player.

Here, we has well as Mike are introduced to the star of the Mysterious DVD Andromeda Strange. Soon after, she begins masturbating with her fingers, and the moments later she pulls out a dildo and begins to penetrate her vagina slowly. As the pleasure increases she the increases the speed of the penetration, in which blood begins to flow from her vagina. Andromeda, seems to love this, as she begins to rub the blood all over her nude body, as the scene begins to close she slices her own throat! Not believing what he his seeing Mike is quick to shut off the DVD. All is not over as strange things begin happening to Mike...his body has become adorned with mysterious red marks.

The next day out of curiosity, Mike proceeds to play the dvd once again. Next we are met with and image of a nude young man sitting in a chair being seduced by Andromeda. Mike's suspicion carried on as she begins to give the young man a blow job....after this is said and done, Andromeda Maliciously slits his throat and his blood sprays to her pleasure on to Andromeda.

To sum it up, Mike has a hard time, deciding whether or not to believe what he's seeing,.. until one day he sees his best friend John in the clutches of Strange! Mike witnesses the murder of John then soon he will be face to face with his nightmare!

The acting in this film is average... almost above average, but the performance of Caroline Pierce, as Andromeda Strange is superb. She's hot, she's sensual, she's scary but knows how to turn it on for the camera.

Also, i'd like to comment on the direction by David Quitmeyer, this is my first time seeing anything from him, and I am really impressed. Quitmeyer seems to be like a person that if he has a vision, he will do anything possible to make it come alive, no matter how much he pushes the bill, he has the balls to do what other's will not.

With this film, Steel Web Studios, have created their own genre that I do not see anyone crossing in a very long time! Sure there is horror-porn but not quite like this! It was a pleasure to see this, as I am still amazed by what I have seen, if you want a new outlook on the horror genre, you might want to take a look at this...but you must be 18+ to do so!

GORE METER
7/10 The gore is Phenomenal, just great, it's everywhere if it was real blood they'd have have enough to run a blood transfusion clinic!

MUSICAL SCORE
6/10 The music is also great...great haunting guitar riffs throughout the film, most composed by Peter Gorritz.

SPECIAL FEATURES RATING
5/10 The special features are really informative as you would expect on any dvd, but most of the time do not receive. I really liked the feature on Caroline Pierce's make-up which took approximately 3 hours for maybe just a 5 minute scene.... talk about hard work!

OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE FILM
This film dares to go where no other horror film would likely never go and then some more! I am really glad that there was no holding back in this film. I recommend this to you if you are of age and also not too squeamish, this was a great film, to say the very least..
