| THE REVIEW In the sexy spoof, HOUSEWIVES FROM ANOTHER WORLD, things change in the life of Karen after she retrieves pieces of a meteor that has crashed to Earth When wearing a fragment of the meteor as a necklace, some sort of alien lifeform takes possession of her body, and soon, she is more than what she seems. The alien being, being new to Earth has a reason for being on our planet but before it acts on those plans, the alien lifeform engages in various other activities, the most important being sex...with just about any one! But after all of the fun, the alien still has a mission to accomplish, and that is to destroy the satellite in which Karen's husband in developing, one that could very much start a war in it's native planet, if launched. To gain some leverage, Karen's harboring alien enlists the help of few of Karen's busty friends. HOUSEWIVES FROM ANOTHER WORLD marks the fourth most recent release from Fred Olen Ray's, Retromedia. With this one, he stays along the lines of the previous release INDIANA JONES AND THE TEMPLE OF EROS, whereas both films, concentrate a little more on the film's plot, rather than just throwing a very thin one in there, basically to have a platform to serve up a few scenes of softcore action, The plot given to us here is a fairly decent one I suppose. The plot focuses on a group of aliens sent to earth to destroy a satellite that they believe, will cause warfare on their planet if launched into space. The main alien takes over thew curvy body of Karen, and as it turns out, her husband, Max, is actually the developer of the satellite in question. With Max's co-workers also after the satellite's blue prints, time might be running out for the lifeform, and it's planet. As a means to take advantage, Karen's alien gives matching meteorite necklaces to two of her friends, and soon they offer up more than enough distraction, especially when it comes to their bodies. After reviewing a few of these Retromedia titles, i've noticed that not only are the principal cast almost always the same, but so are the sets, as well as the musical selection of the score. One major thing about this is that the same house has been used for I think, all four of the latest films from Retromedia, and with all of this being basically identical, it's starting to get a little bit repetitive and boring, even. But none the less, this film stars 2007 Penthouse Pet of the Year, Heather Vandeven, making her second appearance for the company(her first was Bikini Jones), in a more prominent role this time, as Karen, which makes it pretty fun. The featured sex scenes are basically the same as you'd always get from a Fred Olen Ray film, however, there are two particular scenes that stand out. The first one being Frankie Cullen as Karen's husband, Max, messing around on her with her friend Rita, while Karen's away. In this scene, Cullen and Rebecca Love give a performance full of energy, as Love brings in a touch of realism, probably due to her involvement in real adult film. Another great scebe comes when Karen's body is possessed by the alien species. The alien has just discovered the joys of sex, as we watch Karen shower. Here, Heather vandeven gives us the best shower scebe that i've seen in any of the latest Retromedia releases(believe me, there have been a few, and ironically, they have all been filmed in the same shower). Vandeven, although is simulating the act, makes it seem as though it were real, and to me that gets bonus points. HOUSEWIVES FROM ANOTHER WORLD, is pretty fun I guess, it's definitely not the worst out of the bunch, but it comes along at the point where the films are certainly staring to feel the same, and become repetitive, as I mentioned. |

| OVERALL
IMPRESSION OF THE FILM HOUSEWIVES FROM ANOTHER WORLD, if not for any other reason, is just another to add to the collection, if you just so happen to enjoy collecting these types of films. Yes it is a new story, and Heather Vandeven takes the lead this time around, but that's about it when it come to the film being "new", as the elements that make up the remaining parts of the film, have been carried over from previous films. This DVD will be released April 6, 2010 | ||||
