PLOT
Cassandra has been plagued her whole life by premonitory dreams that foretell death, which she discovered when she predicted her own mother's demise. Now she has foreseen the deaths of every one of her best friends, so in order to prevent them she brings them all to an abandoned house that she hopes is out of harm's way. Unfortunately, fate has other plans, as a brutal killer stalks the youngsters--who are now conveniently collected under one roof.

THE REVIEW
HEEBIE JEEBIES, is a film that at first is rather entertaining but as it continues to play out, slowly dwindles away resulting in an abysmal mess.

The story revolves around the main character Cassandra, or "Cassie" for short. Cassie once had a dream of her mother's death before it happened, and now that it has happened, she feels that whatever she dreams will soon become reality. Well just as she believes her dreams have stopped, Cassie begins to have the mysterious dreams once again, this time she happens to see the deaths of her former classmates from High School. Determined to reverse the fate of those classmates, she sends out invitations to those few in her visions to what she claims to be a High School reunion of sorts. Her actual plan is to have all of the friends meet up at an old house that was once owned by her grandparents, Cassie feels that if they are all under one roof simultaneously, everyone will be safe and home free. But as it turns out, just like in almost every other Horror film, there is a killer hidden in the shadows waiting to strike upon some care free teens.

I must admit, although a little clichéd, the plot for HEEBIE JEEBIES is fairly interesting. In fact there are time within this film that I was very entertained, it's just that some of the elements that are sub plots and filler within the film, don't actually accommodate it but rather drag it on making it tiresome and dull in places. Perhaps the most undesirable thing in HEEBIE JEEBIES are the flash back dreams in which Cassie has in mid film to explain what happens to each friend. I suppose these are supposed to inform the viewer of what action could or should be taken to prevent what occurs in each of them, but in my opinion they prove nothing, This dreams are entirely too long in my opinion, and just as things get interesting with the inhabitants at the old cabin, we flashback to another dull and meaningless dream...thus ruining any momentum the film ever tries to gain for itself.

I'd say the acting here is average, if not a little below. It would not be best to say that the acting is all that credible, seeing as 3 of the film's creators have starring roles...2 of them being the film's co-directors.

But besides all of these flashbacks Cassie has the story is kind of cool, but you are lucky if you even get a total of 15 minutes of it out of it's entire 89 minute runtime, the rest is padded out with worthless dream sequences.

GORE METER
3.5/10 Not really all that gory, as most of it is hidden of camera, probably due to budget issues. But there is a cool wood chipping scene, which does involve a few human bodies.

MUSICAL SCORE
2/10 I may be wrong, or may not but I only seem to recall that the only music happens in a dream sequence, and it sounded like some generic hip-hop or techno.

OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE FILM
It seems that Lionsgate feels that they should distribute just about anything these days. Sure the main plot and story are interesting but as I said I think the overall outcome of it was a lot less enjoyable than expected. This is a film that could of had a lot of potential but in the end the only thing it turns out to be is a highly incoherent, low budget Horror film.
