| THE REVIEW Before going into this movie, I had prior knowledge of this being a Showtime production. This knowledge immediately set me up for failure, and I have to say that I agree with my assumption. The plot of this movie is very thin and almost transparent, I say this because many variations of this plot are done to death in Hollywood these days. A disguised killer in a mask, manipulating and terrifying young people, sound familiar sure it does! With so much un originality coming out of Hollywood nowadays, there was very little chance of this movie executing well with this plot. In typical Showtime fashion there is included lots of gratuitous nudity, Me being a guy, I didn't really mind it. But in a horror movie if T&A is all that you rely on, well that could get you in trouble, which is the case here. Also a tired and played out concept is tried here, as when the killer expresses he kills because the people do "bad things" here the killer chops of his victims hands. He does this because that do "bad things with them". I can't say I was expecting more, because I wasn't, what we have here is a film that tries too hard or just doesn't try enough....I can't really decide. |

IMPRESSION OF THE FILM My final impression of this movie, is that this movie is not very good It seems to not have what it needed to succeed. This movie tends to try and fall back on things such as nudity and cliques and it just will not work for this effort. I don't actually recommend this one, but if you must, it may be worth one look |
