THE REVIEW
In EXPERIMENT, Anna, a young woman is dumped out of the back of a van in the city of Prague. Anna has no idea as to who she is or how she got there. Also in the city is a man named Morgan, whom suffers from the same memory loss as Anna - but for whatever reason, it appears that their condition is not just a coincidence, and that something links the two. Both Anna and Morgan wander the streets, until, Morgan, whom has been instructed to locate Anna, eventually finds her. As they slowly begin to regain their memory, it is later revealed that a crew of misfits are behind the situation and have mind control over Anna and Morgan, who are being used in an experiment, in which they have hopes will result in the perfect execution of an assassination plan.

Like films such as MEMENTO, EXPERIMENT is virtually a mind trip, that puts the viewer into the mind of it's characters. Our two characters here, Anna and Morgan do not know who they are and they struggle as they cope with their confusion, as well as the horrific memories that run through their heads. In a sense, the audience joins them in the said confusion, as it takes one a while to grasp the whole story, honestly I can say for at least the first half of the film, I was bored with it, as I waited for something to happen - in the last half of the film, things do pick up and they lead to an ending you probably won't see coming. With that said, for the film as a whole, I was only mildly entertained as I felt that I had seen similar before.

Filmed in HD digital, the film itself looks great, and in appearance, it looks to have had a bigger budget than it actually did. The film takes place in, Prague, a big beautiful city, which in my opinion, was the perfect setting for such a film. Not only were our two main characters strangers to themselves, but also strangers to their surroundings and prague made these two confused characters seem as if they were two small people trapped in a big world - the surroundings definitely added an extra since of paranoia to the characters of Anna and Morgan.

The plot found in EXPERIMENT, has many twists, and as I said, the film comes together in the form of a twist ending. I find it difficult to explain the plots, without further giving away anything, for those who may have not seen this. The film does take a while as it works to build the foundation for the last few moments, and I do admit that it does pay off, as they are compelling, but I also admit that the film sort of lost my interest in the mix of things.

Overall, EXPERIMENT is good for what it is, a journey into the mind of two people whom struggle to regain whom they are i'll while they encounter various twists and turns along the way.

GORE METER
5.5/10 The score is comprised of a lot of atmospheric classical type music. I thought it really fit the film quite nicely, and added an impact, to some of the scenes that were most important.

OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE FILM
Before you tell me, I am aware that this isn't much of a review as it is more a basic narrative. This is party, because, saying too much about the things that happen in EXPERIMENT, may give away a little too much. And another reason being that I honestly wasn't "grabbed" by the story until much later in the film, thus losing focus on what should be said about certain plot points, but I will say that it is least worth checking out for the ending.
