THE REVIEW
Here we have a very bizarre and outrageous film, and it's called DELTA DELTA DIE!. This film is CLUELESS meets HANNIBAL as it is set at a sorority house with a group of valley girls who just so happen to love the taste of human flesh.... as you can imagine they prefer male flesh!
The story starts out with our sorority, at their campus there is quite a buzz about just WHAT happens at the house as the men who come to the house never go..... It is up to the Dean's assistant Tobias, to uncover just what is going on and just what are in the baked goods that they sale at the campuses bake sale! With no leads, Tobias enlists the help of a former member of Delta Delta Pi. Rhonda Cooper, who knows just what these girls are up to and has more than revenge in mind.
This movie is way out there, I mean that as in terms of believability. I think that, that is what DELTA DELTA DIE is about anyway.... the laughs. I thought that some of this was enjoyable while other moments are downright stupid....if ever a movie has ever been certified 'kooky' this certainly takes the cake. Now in terms of seriousness versus comedic... comedic is definitely the clear winner. I mean we have beautiful women eating Men's body parts and they are very selective as well... one of the sisters ended up getting banished because she ate a man's penis and to the sisterhood, a penis is considered "unclean" and germ infested.... although any other part is A-OK. One aspect of the story that is intended to be serious is Tobias' and Rhonda's intrusion/investigation of the girls, and even that turns out to be funny as well.... also how Brinke Steven's attacks the girls....how she jumps on them is quite hilarious.
The acting i'd say it's almost average for the lowbrow B-flick that it is. Clearly the main stars of this film are both Julie Strain and Brinke Stevens, so I have no idea as to why they changed the original box art that once featured this two to the younger cast members. Julie Strain is quite good I guess, but I was ready to write that this may be her best performance to date, that is until half way through the movie the plot kind of lost it's touch... and lost any amount of seriousness it might have had. Also I think Julie Strain's breasts should've been credited as supporting actress in the credits, as we see them quite a few times -- but I won't be one to complain about that!
Brinke Stevens' performance, although good is just there merely to support the character of Mother Fitch, played by Julie Strain.... I have seen Ms. Stevens in far more better roles than this. As far as the girls are concerned I think Tiffany Shepis and Lizzy Strain's roles should've been switched. Lizzy's Mandy character was one of the more serious sorority sister roles while Tiffany's was far more non existent. With Lizzy being a relative new comer to acting I feel that this may have been too major for this early in her career one that Shepis can fill without hesitation. Lizzy might've gotten the part off of her name alone, being the star's sister and all. The other girls offer little to the life of the story, perhaps the worse performance is by Joe Dain who plays Tobias.
This is a film shot on low budget and a mediocre script, which is obviously not taking itself all that seriously.

SPECIAL
FEATURES RATING
6/10 For a man this is one packed featured section! We have deleted scenes and bloopers. But the best part are some Julie Strain strip dancing.... we also get treated with some at home footage of sisters Julie and Lizzy. but Julie's shower featurette is worth the dvd price alone!

OVERALL
IMPRESSION OF THE FILM
This film is just for fun I guess, I mean characters do have names such as the god-awful Hannah Bull(give me a break) and rhyming names like Patrice and Clarice. If you are looking to have fun and not take life too seriously, see if you can rent it.... I wouldn't'r recommend buying it.... it is however good for the occasional rent.
