THE REVIEW
It's not everyday that I receive a film as fun as this one. This film is in fact a horror genre film, but it also packs an extreme level of dark and perverse humor. I won't give any of it away here but I will say that I was laughing outloud on more than one occasion, Philip Cruz knows how to make a normal guy such as myself laugh, simply because Cruz is a normal guy himself. I think in this film he made what he would consider to be a kick ass horror film, in hopes that others would feel the same, and I believe he got what he was hoping for.

This film is highly entertaining and centers and old Urban Legend of "Andre the Butcher". A once holy man, whom is send back to earth by Satan to do his evil deeds, and in the meantime make some hellatious chili out of the unlucky's flesh. Let's just say if you are a sinner you are a candidate to being a prime ingredient of Andre's yummy chili... This film almost has it all, penty of gore, plenty of comedic taste, as I previously mentioned, and the almost permanent staple in any horror film... the nudity.

Again this is another case in which an indie film takes on the look of a rather high budget film. The overall look of the film is clear and crisp and pleasing to the viewers eye. I don't know how these independent guys do it, but they do get the job done....Cruz is no exception.

On to the cast..... the cast is fantastic and diverse to say the least. In the lead role we have the Man, the myth, the Legend, Ron Jeremy. Now Ron is already the King of something "else" but if he keeps this up, he just may very well be a major Horror player. He does a very good job in the scenes in which the camera is in and around his face, he just captures a form of evil with that scowl of his. I understand that some scenes on a "shape" of stand-in but that doesn't hurt the movie much, although at times you can tell it's not Jeremy.

We also have a group of hot Cheerleaders, fronted by Jasmine played by April Billingsley, and the role of Cookie played by Heather Joy Budner. Both are extremely hot and curvaceous, the both do an excellent job, Cookie is the more sex crazed of the two while Jasmine is the more laid back and curious type. We also have the Cheerleader with issues about her weight, that could ultimately lead to her demise, Christy is played by Elizabeth Mullins, whom also puts in a great effort. Out of our Cheerleaders, April Billingsley is my favorite, she is a very good actress and looks to have a great future.... not to mention she is very hot!

Another character that peaked my interest was Sheriff Cooper played brilliantly by veteran actor Terry Mross. This guy is hilarious, in this role he reminded me of another one of my favorites R. Lee Ermey in the Texas Chainsaw Massacre remake.

Although I don't mention the rest of the cast here, they are still very much a part of what makes this film work

GORE METER
6/10 This one is pretty gory we have a half dismembered cop, multiple arm shotgun blasts, an eye impalement and more...

MUSICAL SCORE
7/10 I really enjoyed the music, it was not one set genre of music, and that's what made it great....the music fit right in with what was going on, on-screen. We get some heavy rock, soft rock some blues, mixed in w/ a dash of Hip-hop.

OVERALL IMPRESSION OF THE FILM
This film is a great film for when you just want to let loose and have fun. I do recommend this without second guessing. I have read that is film has been picked up by Th!nkfilm, which means you will be able to find this anywhere... I also hear that this film may change it's title at the request of Th!nkfilm, so when you do spot this one....check it out, you will not be disappointed my friends!
